Manor has announced that Will Stevens will be one of their drivers, if they make to the gird this season.
The team, which was formerly known as Marussia, entered administration in October and didn’t compete in the final few rounds of the 2014 championship.
However, with a new name, they exited administration last week via a Company Voluntary Arrangement and intend to race this season.
Stevens served as Marussia’s reserved driver last season, so it is no surprise to see him promoted to the new team’s full lineup.
He has prior F1 experience, as he raced for Caterham in last season’s final race in Abu Dhabi.
Stevens told reporters: “It’s very exciting to see everything coming together at Manor after the tremendous effort that has gone into saving the team.
“It would not have been possible without the incredible support we have received from all the suppliers and from within the sport, but most of all the fantastic team of people at Manor who are working around the clock to ensure we are ready for Melbourne.
“My thanks to the team for their confidence in me and I can’t wait to see all the hard work rewarded when we line up on the grid in two weeks’ time.”
Stevens is expected to be joined by fellow Brit Max Chilton.
