Dec.3 - Max Verstappen "doesn't give a f***" about efforts to destabilise his effort to win the 2021 world championship.

That is the view of the Dutchman's Red Bull boss Christian Horner, as arch rival Lewis Hamilton touched down in Saudi Arabia and pointed out the "egos" involved in the title battle.

"There is defence, there is respect, but I did see someone say something about cheating, and that's the worst claim to ever make," Hamilton, 8 points behind his Red Bull foe, said in Saudi Arabia.

"It's not tarnishing it, it is just the wrong thing to do."

But as the ultra-intense battle boils down to the last two races in the Middle East, Horner says those sorts of tactics simply won't work on Verstappen.

"Lewis continually drops his subtle little digs or provocations," he said. "But I think the great thing about Max is he doesn't give a f***.

"He is who he is. He drives a car fast, and then he wants to go home and play on his Playstation. It's as simple as that.

"I would put money on Max's first flying lap this weekend being the fastest of any driver."

Hamilton has even intimated that he will do his best to stay out of the way of any crashes, with some suggesting Verstappen may 'do a Senna or Schumacher' by forcing a collision.

"I don't think about that," Verstappen insisted. "About whether or not I have more options or margin.

"I will just race and give my best, like I have all year."

Seven time world champion Hamilton also insists he has a "different calmness" about him for the 2021 finale, and emphasises Verstappen's comparative lack of experience.

"Of course he has more experience today than before his first title," said Verstappen.

"But I also have more experience than in my first year. I don't see much difference, otherwise he would have shown himself earlier in the season."

Horner says Verstappen's steely determination and focus reminds him of one particular British boxer.

"Max drives like Tyson Fury fights," he said. "He's got that same heart.

"You just know he's going to give it everything and if you knock him down, he's going to get back up."

If you think thats funny Torger is saying,

"When adversity happens, then it takes him to a place where he is able to mobilise super-hero powers. And it was the adversity that triggered that in Interlagos."

Super hero , dont make me laugh...!!

Well, Horny lost that bet....by almost half a second.

Errm, Lewis may have ended the session fastest but Max was amazingly fast from the get go in P1. Whereas it took everyone else much longer to get up to speed.

Horny did say Max's first flying lap dindnt he

I’m pretty sure you have misunderstood the comment. Lewis may have ended the session fastest overall but Max’s "first flying laps" where clearly quicker than anybody else’s.

He came out of the box immediately on it whilst it took everyone else most of the session to get up to speed.

Nope, no misunderstanding. Words have meaning. You can't just change a direct quote to fit a point of view. Not denigrating VER's speed, just Horny's prognostication. Anyway, hope the boys put on a good show.

WTF has Tyson Fury (whoever he was) got to do with the F1 World Championship?
Stellar year for F1 with finally a close championship down to the wire! Mind games are, and always have been, part of it!

As I mentioned in another comment RB (especially Max) will try to win at any costs regardless of who he puts of the track. He has always counted on the fact that all will give way to him. Not any more as he found out twice already. I seriously hope no drivers get injured through his pathetic attitude.

Lewis Hamilton is a Grade A driver deserves the Championship. Verstappen should be severely penalized for the way he drove this is not what a Champion should represent. He driving was dirty not only once, putting his one life and other peoples lives at risk. Disgusting should not be acceptable

Max Verstappen is a really crude driver, if I may say. Well some of these things have a history to them. Having grown up in South Africa during apartheid and seen how the descendants of some of Verstappen's countryman behaved and still do towards people of colour, I'm not at all surprised that Verstappen may actually harbour some unpleasant unsportman like intentions about his rival. I suspect someone in his psychology department is holding something back, that F1 fans will one day find very scaring for such a sport.
