Max Verstappen has admitted he took "revenge" on Esteban Ocon in Abu Dhabi.

One race earlier, the Dutchman was sentenced to two days of FIA community service for shoving Frenchman Ocon, following their scrap in Brazil.

Verstappen lost the grand prix win because backmarker Ocon tried to overtake him, so when they were wheel-to-wheel again in Brazil, they clashed wheels.

"I thought to myself 'If he shuts the door, I'll push him off the track'. It may have been revenge for Brazil," Verstappen told Servus TV.

"I liked it. It felt good," he admitted.

Verstappen's Red Bull boss sided with the Dutch driver, saying Ocon has also had run-ins with other rivals.

"Maybe he (Ocon) will see things from a different perspective when he is a television commentator next year," Dr Helmut Marko told Auto Motor und Sport.

Maybe, but then maybe not. Your own having to come back with the tail between your legs, and take Kvyat whom you treated and dumped so unceremoniously a year earlier, does not seem to have taught you anything, you old pompous fart.

Helmut Marko's comment directed to a young and very talented driver is so disrespectful. He is always like this. Someone should teach him some manners, but i guess next year the Honda decision will make him a laughing stock.

That is just a straight up d!ck comment by Dr Helmut Marko....
And as for Verstappen, he should maybe just serve is punishment before making comments like this that could weigh in on it.
Seems like the only think i like about Red Bull is Christian Horner at this point.

"....Kvyat's experience seems to be a warning sign for at least one young driver still hopeful of making it into F1.

"Of my own volition I would not sit in the Toro Rosso," Renault development driver Artem Markelov told Sport FM this week.

"Knowing Dr Marko, knowing how he ruins the careers of young drivers, I don't need that," added the 23-year-old, who currently races for Russian Time in Formula 2...."

Dr H Marko is a tw*t as is Horner and Mad Max. I hope and pray that the Honda engine is the death of Red Bull in 2019- that will bring the 3 idiots back down to earth!

we'll see.... Behind the scenes a lot of simulation has been going on and it looks as if the RB will be very strong in 2019; so we'll see and then let's talk again.
