The formula one world championship is a motor racing competition organised by the governing body in the international motorsport. It is a yearly event, and it is open to all runners in all Grand Prix around the world. This year again, FIA is to hold the racing contest. In the light of previous editions that saw the domination of the German pilot Sebastian Vettel and the British Lewis Hamilton, in a similar way of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna in the 90s, or the infamous rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt, brought to the screen with the movie Rush, the FIA world F1 championship results still are very uncertain. Despite Vettel’s 4th position, it seems that the greatest challenger for Hamilton this year is his teammate Valterri Bottas only about 40 points away at mid-season. The question, therefore, remains: who will emerge as the winner of the 2019 edition?

The Focus of the Odds

The competition is a continuous running event for Formula 1 cars. Being an annual happening, it starts in March and ends in December. It welcomes best drivers drawn from the twenty-one Grand Prix taking place across the planet. 2019 is the sixty-ninth edition since the competition started. This year’s running of the formula one car is again to also run in China. The previous holding or season was won by Lewis Hamilton. In fact, its current defending champion will face a strong opposition both from his teammate Valterri Bottas as well as from the pilots of the Scuderia Ferrari Sebastian Vettel and French driver Charles Leclerc. At mid-season, the competition is still open and probably the contenders are dreaming about a few technical or pilot failures coming from the 2018 champion in order to grab a few points getting them closer to the title. The weather may also play a major role in the upcoming Grand Prix, as a matter of fact, Europe is experiencing a huge heatwave that could drain the strength of pilots driving over 300kph. The Championship is not over yet and you may want to bet about the future winner, however, always remember the golden rule when betting: bet responsibly. Betting responsibly means to avoid jeopardising your financial situation just to bet or taking inconsiderate risks for you or your family. Do not forget betting is like driving, if you take risks you may end up in the wall. When it comes to formula 1 betting, you can bet on various elements from the winner of the race, to who is going to end the race passing by who is going to do the fastest lap, however, don’t forget the second golden rule about sports and Formula 1 in particular, the race is not over until the final lap is over.

How does the event unfold?

Ten teams, with two drivers, each take part in the competition. Given that the race is run over a number of laps beyond 300 km, it is normal that measures be taken to minimise hitches. According to technical regulations handed down, wing endplates of cars are reshaped to avoid being blown away by a strong wind, winglets above the plane of the front wing of the car competing should suppress, in order to strengthen the drag reduction system. Besides the slot at the rear wing of cars is to be widened.
Apart from the technical precautions, there are also conditions to be respected by individual competitors. Drivers wishing to partake in the championship has to have healthy diets and avoid putting on weight. A driver with small body shape is preferable to a tall and heavy one. To secure drivers’ races, organisers ordered the manufacture of new sets of helmets. Another security measure taken was to ensure the tyres of cars are of good quality. In a bid to give drivers the motivation and the boosting needed, an offer of points to a driver who wins the fastest lap of the race, was introduced. The said points were awarded concerned participants at the end of each lap. All these preparations aimed at making the competition more successful, interesting. Such championships are often crowd-pulling events which mean best drivers can sign new sponsorship with sponsoring corporations. That’s why these preparations are given a special touch as they account for the outcomes from the championship in every aspect.
