Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest lap time in this first practice for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix. The quickest lap times of all drives were unbelievable close. The times generated the list below which shows 14 drivers with in 0.9 of second difference.

The biggest surprise of the session was Pastor Maldonado and his Williams FW35. He drove a 9th time and was only 0.584 sec slower then Hamilton. To drivers who will not race next Sunday were given a change to test. Heikki Kovalianen did some testing for Caterham and James Calado was testing for Force India. Calado drove the fastest top speed this session.
