In this 2st practice Fernando Alonso was the quickest with his Ferrari F138 driving on the super soft (red) Pirelli tyres.
We saw a lot of locked up front tyres after the main straight. Because the ambient and track temperature are quite low the tyres cool down a lot on the long back straight after the hairpin. Because of this the front tyres lose their grip.
At the end of the session it started to rain a bit. Mark Webber almost crashed into the wall of champions, but kept his car just out of the concrete wall.
