The second practice for the 2019 Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix started with an early crash for Robert Kubica.  In turn 3 he lost control of the Williams and crashed into the barrier. His car was very damaged and his FP2 session was already over.

Charles Leclerc showed a good pace on the medium tyres with the Ferrari SF90. While both Mercedes drivers were still very quick on the more warn tyres after 12 laps of racing.

Pierre Gasly's Toro Rosso had a technical failure with 15 minutes to go. The white smoke that came from the back of the STR14 did tell us it had something to do with a water leak.

Sebastian Vettel had clocked the quickest lap until 5 minutes before the end in the Ferrar SF90 when the other Toro Rosso also retired with a technical failure related to the gearbox or engine.

Best of the rest was Kevin Magnussen. The Danish driver was surprisingly quick in the Haas VF-19.

Last year Valtteri Bottas was the quickest in FP2. He lapped the Interlagos circuit in 1:08.846 min.
