In the beginning of this second practice for the Brazilian GP the session got red flagged already after 1 minute when. Nico Hulkenberg crashed his Renault RS18 into the wall coming out of turn 12. The car got damaged on the right side and Hulkenberg wasn't able to continue.
During this FP2 Sebastian Vettel was complaining about something was loose between his legs in his cockpit and had a hilarious radio conversation, telling them that he doesn't know what it was and he would be proud if it was what they think it would be :-). He came in twice to get it fixed.
Fastest driver of FP1 Max Verstappen had to wait a long time before he was able to drive in FP2. It took over 45 minutes to get an oil leak fixed in his Red Bull RB14 before he could start driving.
After 18 laps the right rear Soft (yellow) tyre on Vettel's Ferrari already showed blisters. Lewis Hamilton was able to drive a lot longer on the Soft tyres. He pitted for new Supersoft tyres after 28 laps.
With five minutes to go Romain Grosjean (Haas) and Carlos Sainz (Renault) almost collided in turn 1. Grosjean was warned with blue flags, but didn't let very much space to let Sainz pass.
The quickest lap time of last year in FP2 was 1:09,515 driven by Hamilton in the Mercedes W08.
