Engine changes at different teams. Alexander Albon is already on his second new in two days, Carlos Sainz and Nico Hülkenberg switched to Renaults B-spec and received a grid penalty. Verstappen has received a planned engine change for this weekend, but will not receive a grid penalty.

Green light. Antonio Giovinazzi Alfa Romeo is the first to go out on the medium compound. The fight will probably go against Mercedes, Ferrari & Red Bull. McLaren therefore opts for various Medium & Soft data.
Daniil Kvyat is also on the job. The Toro Rosso driver has recorded a 1.07.156, but is slower than Sainz: 1.06.672. Norris has already entered again. Renault sent Daniel Ricciardo outside and his first attempt resulted in a second time under Sainz with the medium band: 1.06.706. It is by no means a perfect lap, because the front wheels blocked several times.
Now it's up to teammate Nico Hülkenberg to show what he can do. He takes the turns wide and eagerly grabs the curb stones. On the same tire the second Renault goes to 1.06.981 and a fourth time. Meanwhile, Toro Rosso climbs to the fastest times, Alexander Albon on P1 (1.06.175) and Daniil Kvyat with 0.490 second difference on P2. Bottas runs 1.05.510 the first time. In the meantime, Ferrari is working on the red belt and that produces purple sectors. Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel are the fastest this time. Leclerc was already diving under one minute and five seconds (1.04.826), Vettel is 0.267 seconds away. Max Verstappen immediately drives his fastest time of the weekend and sets a time of 1.05.241 and arrives at P4, Charles Leclerc improves his own lap time and is a full second faster than the Red Bull. Pierre Gasly goes back the pit lane appears to have a lack of power. Valtteri Bottas sets a tight lap time. His 1.04.221 brings him to P1. Leclerc comes out at 1.03.987 and increases the lead over the rest by a tenth. Max Verstappen arrived at a faster 1: 04.250, but his time was not noted. He probably crossed the track limits with the four wheels ...Hamilton is edging the sectors but it's Leclerc who currently has the fastest lap time Charles Leclerc 1:03.987s & Lewis Hamilton 1:04.130s. Leclerc of Ferrari comes as leader of the third free practice on start-finish after he was also the second practice fastest. This is the end of FP3.
