Top 3 qualifiers 2014 Bahrain F1 GP: 1. Rosberg 2. Hamilton 3. Ricciardo

Nico Rosberg will start on pole position with his Mercedes W05 for tomorrows 2014 Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix. Rosberg scored his 5th pole position of his F1 career and the 20th pole for his team Mercedes.

Rosberg's teammate Lewis Hamilton will start as 2nd and Valtteri Bottas (Williams) will start as 3rd. Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) classified 3rd, but will start as 13th tomorrow, because of the unsafe pitstop release in Malaysia.

4 times world champion Sebastian Vettel could not go to Q3. His team mate however again out qualified him for the 3 time in a row. Sergio Pérez was able to keep his high level of the 3rd practice out qualify his Force India F1 team mate Nico Hulkenberg.

  • Adrian Sutil (Sauber) qualified 18th, but is penalised 5 grid places for forcing Romain Grosjean (Lotus) off the circuit in Q1.
