Qualifying Results 2019 Brazilian F1 GP

Max Verstappen will start from pole position for tomorrow's 2019 Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Verstappen scored his 2nd pole in his career and the 2nd of the 2019 season. It was the 62nd pole position for the Red Bull team.

Q1
George Russel was the first to clock a lap time in the williams during this qualifying. He clocked a 1:10..688 min, but was quickly pushed to the back of the leaderboard. Sainz told his McLaren team that something went wrong. in his drive train and the Spanish driver had to go back to the pits. 5 minutes for the end of Q1 the following drivers were nominees for elimination: 16.Nico Hulkenberg, 17. Lance Stroll, 18. George Russell, 19. Robert Kubica, 20. Carlos Sainz. Hulkenberg was able to get in a lap time to through to Q2 and pushed Daniil Kvyat in to elimination with his Toro Rosso.

Q2
After the first stint it was Verstappen who topped the leaderboard with a time of 1:07.503 min. Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Antonio Giovinazzi, Sergio Pérez and Nico Hulkenberg had to do better to make it into Q3. Leclerc was the only one on the medium tyre. The Monoguesque driver did drive a good lap and was on P2 and only 0.395s slower than Verstappen. The drivers in the elimination zone didn't improve enough to get into Q3.

Q3
Verstappen was again quickest in the first stint of Q3. He drove a 1:07/623 with a big moment coming out of turn 12. But Vettel who was on P2 and Leclerc on P3 also made a small error in the same corner.

Last years pole was driven by Lewis Hamilton. His time in Q3 was a 1:07.281 min.
