Valtteri Bottas will start from pole position for tomorrow's 2019 US Grand Prix. Bottas scored his 11th pole in his career and the 5th of the 2019 season. It was the 110th pole position for the Mercedes team.
F1 rookie Lando Norris was quickest in Q1. The McLaren driver did cut off some corners in the SS-es, but was clocked as quickest.
In Q2 Alexander Albon drove the fastest lap time until the last laps were driven on soft tyres. The other 5 top team drivers drove their Q2 times on medium tyres and Charles Leclerc even improved his lap time on the medium tyre to go to P1. His teammate Sebastian Vettel also ended up above Albon on the medium tyres.
In the last 12 minutes of Q3 Valtteri Bottas came out on top to score his 11th pole. He sneatched it away from Vettel with only 0,012s to Vettel and 0,069s on Max Verstappen for 3th place.
Last years pole was also scored by Hamilton. His quickest lap time was 1:32.237 min.
