Big changes are underway at Alpine, with Bruno Famin set to step down as boss, and the Renault-owned team weighing a shift to a different power unit supplier.

In a candid conversation with Tom Clarkson, Bruno opens up about his decision to leave the F1 team and refocus on Renault's engine operations at Viry-Châtillon, located just outside Paris. This factory, a cornerstone of Renault’s F1 engine legacy since the 1970s, is set to cease its current project as F1 approaches its new engine regulations in 2026. Bruno shares insights on this strategic move, the potential of Alpine becoming a customer team powered by Mercedes, and the future direction for Viry's engineering projects.

He also reflects on his tenure as Alpine Team Principal, the arrival of seasoned engineer David Sanchez and former team boss Flavio Briatore, as well as the dynamics within the team, including Pierre Gasly's ongoing partnership and Esteban Ocon's departure.
