This triumph was more than just another victory for Sir Lewis Hamilton; it marked a significant milestone. It was his first win since that fateful December day in 2021, when a Race Director's error denied him an eighth World Championship. Thirty months later, in front of a massive British crowd that steadfastly supported him despite Mercedes' lackluster performance, Lewis orchestrated a truly epic victory.

He overcame not only the unpredictable Silverstone weather but also outpaced two of the current fastest drivers in F1: Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen and McLaren-Mercedes' Lando Norris. Oscar Piastri secured fourth in the other McLaren-Mercedes, followed by Carlos Sainz's Ferrari and a remarkable drive from Nico Hulkenberg in the Haas-Ferrari. One F1 fan comment on “2024 British F1 Grand Prix Analysis by Peter Windsor

Excellent analysis, to be able to save your tyres while being caught by a charging Max in a highly charged emotional atmosphere must require sublime control. Confirmation if any was needed that Sir Lewis is indeed the GOATand I have long thought that the great Jim Clark was the GOAT.
