Brembo brake facts F1 Grand Prix of Monaco 2011

Now to the hardest braking point at the Circuit de Monaco. According to the Brembo engineers, the drivers reduce their speed by 207 km/h right before the "Nouvelle Chicane". In doing so they release 1,701 kilowatts of brake energy. They've got to withstand a mighty 4.53G and simultaneously push with 115 kilograms down on the brake.
