In a candid conversation on the F1: Beyond The Grid podcast, [Sergio Perez](https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-drivers/sergio-perez/) opens up to Tom Clarkson about his return to Formula 1 with Cadillac after a year away from the sport, revealing the mental toll of his final months at Red Bull. The Mexican driver explains how the time off gave him a new perspective and why he initially hesitated to come back, but ultimately found the [Cadillac](https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-teams/cadillac-f1-team-stats-info/) project just as motivating as fighting at the front. Perez also addresses the team's recent decision to replace Graeme Lowdon with Marcin Budkowski as Team Principal, and reflects on wishing he had enjoyed his career more.
