Alpine F1 Geschiedenis

In its first F1 season, Alpine finished fifth in the World Constructors' Championship with 155 points (81 from Alonso and 74 from Ocon). The results included one win, a podium, and five Top-5 finishes overall.

The first half of the 2022 F1 season was quite strong for Alpine, with Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso scoring 99 points in that span of the championship. The points tally put Alpine fourth in the World Constructors' Championship after the first half, behind Red Bull, Ferrari en Mercedes.

De Franse line-up van Alpine begon het seizoen 2023 goed, met Gasly die punten scoorde in vier van de eerste zes races en Ocon in drie van die races. Het paar kwam samen in de Australische Grand Prix van 2023, maar bleef daarna goed rijden.

The result pushed the team from ninth place to sixth in the Constructors' Championship. Ocon, who had already announced he was leaving Alpine for 2025, was replaced for the final race, with Mick Doohan making his debut.

Doohan's Alpine stint was short-lived, as Argentine driver Franco Colapinto replaced him after only six races in 2025.

Alpine scored only 22 points in 2025, finishing last in the Constructors' standings. Gasly scored each point, with his best result being a P6 at Silverstone.

They kept Gasly and Colapinto for 2026, while also taking Mercedes power units and dropping the Renault PUs. The new F1 era saw Alpine improving, with Gasly scoring in the first three races and Colapinto finishing in the points in the second race of the year.

At Monaco, Gasly finished third on the road but lost his podium after receiving two penalties for exceeding the speed limit in the pits, which dropped him to seventh.

However, Alpine appealed, and the penalties were later rescinded. The FIA confirmed that their system failed, with other drivers also penalised during the race for the same alleged infraction. Unlike Gasly, most of the other drivers served their penalties; Mercedes' George Russell was also penalised during the race for not serving his penalties, which put him out of the points at the end.

The Monaco result remained a hot topic of discussion for months.
